| | | john deere 3 row planter to help you get the job done - start to finish! | Conversation on john deere 3 row planter| My daughter's favourite present | | This year, we really went over the top with Christmas shopping. My kids had loads of stuff - everything they wanted, plus a lot of stuff I thought was great. My 4 year old daughter proved to me that I am still in touch with my inner child. On eBay, I found some toys which I had as a child. Fairywinkles. These were made in 1993, if you don't remember them, they were little naked fairies who live in various playsets. I found one set which was a clam shell with 5 baby fairies in, and one which was a flower with a mummy, daddy and baby. They were still in the sealed packaging, and I can remember my dad buying them for me, and the hours of fun I had with them. So I bought them for my daughter. She thinks they're the best thing ever! We played with them all day today, and my 2 year old son was impressed too. Funny enough, the rollerskates, Baby Born, John Deere wheelbarrow and Thomas The Tank Engine things have all been neglected in favour of these vintage toys. What did your kids like best? | |
| | When was the last time........ | | When was the last time you got that, OMG, I have to do that again and again like right now feeling?? Was it during sex, after a roller coaster ride or anything else?? Last time I got that feeling was after I got bent over a john deere. | |
| | | Can you describe your home town? | | I'm in a little Texas town about fifty miles from Houston. It is at the corner of two state higways, of which one runs parallel to the railroad tracks and the other crosses the railroad tracks running north and south to other small towns about fifteen miles away. From this intersection, if you travel about 3/4 of a mile in any direction, you will leave town so it is pretty small but we have a McDonalds/Shell gas station, John Deere tractor dealership, dairy queen, sonic, subway, private pizza shop, grocery store, two convenience stores, two banks and even a mexican restaurant. On all sides of town are farm fields spreading as far as the eye can see where they grow cotton, corn and sorghum. Within the neighborhoods hides a county library, elementary school, middle school and high school but you rarely see the kids as they are bused in from the surrounding farms except on school sports nights when they gather at the dairy queen. Population 1800Yup, a little hole in the wall but I like it, at night when I sit here writing by the open window, I can hear the coyotes as they skirt the edge of town hunting and looking for scraps left out. So, how about you?Can you decribe... | |
| | 'Kid' Driving me crazy... | | Ok, he's not a kid, just turned 18 last week is now a legal adult but didn't stop him from doing all he can to drive me crazy. What sparked this discussion is discussion I posted last night 'Are you a Competitive Person'... I've never thought I was but oh my youngest son is while commenting on responses it made me think of him - he will turn anything into a compitition.Yesterday I was taking my van to go to the store. Shane had a couple friends over and they were all outside taking turns riding his newly acquired mini-bike. I backed out of the drive-way and pulled up to the stop sign next to our house. Here he comes up next to me "Mom, wanna race? Come on I'll beat you."Now understand this is a mini-bike goes about as fast as a snail on speed and he's 6'4" which looks really really funny on that bike. I yelled out the window no I'm not racing him and reminded him he didn't have his helmet on. Didn't matter I turned to head to the store and here he comes behind me catching me at the next stop sign still challenging me. All I could think was this idiot would run into a parked car or worse tip over and fall under my van tires but at the same time as he proceeded to taunt... | |

| | My Dog Won................... | | Today was a red letter day in my little town.
The abandoned house and shed next door finally came down.
At 6am this morning a huge John Deere watchamacallit, with a big toothy bucket on a huge bendy arm thingy, came rolling in from the back alley and began demolition.
It woke up my dog.
The dog woke up me..............
Between the 'reverse alarm', hydraulic hissing, breaking glass, snapping of broken walls, collapsing of roofs, screeching of metal on metal, the pounding of the earth when the bucket hit and the dogs frantic barking..........
Well you can imagine that my lovely dream of bananas and cream was rudely interrupted!
It took all day for the house and shed to get cleared, the lilac bushes and willow trees to come out and the dog to calm down. She ran back and forth inside her dog run barking up a storm. I know loud noises bother her, but she was downright frantic.
Especially when the bucket began pulling the lilac bushes away from the long side of her dog run.
I stood in my side door and took pictures of the demo, but finally the dog's distress had me putting on my shoes and going out into the back yard.
Spunky came right over to me and nearly scaled her fence to... | |
| | My Husbands New Toy | | John Deere riding lawnmower, thats what it is. My husband has been nagging me to get one of these. Our yard is kind of big, and fire ants galore. I finally gave in, and got him one, though he had to concede by saying it could be all his gifts for 2009. At 1,300 dollars that sounded reasonable to me. What big ticket item does your loved one want this year? Will you get it? | |
| | My Husbands New Toy | | This is my husbands new John Deere riding lawnmower. He has been begging me for one for almost two years. Our lawn is about one acre, and does ttake quite a bit of time to mow it. Plus we have tons of fire ant mounds, to walk and get attacked by. Yet I thought this was a bit expensive. He talked me into it by saying it could be all his gifts for 2009. What big ticket item would your loved one, love to have this year? | |
