| | Can you describe your home town? | | I'm in a little Texas town about fifty miles from Houston. It is at the corner of two state higways, of which one runs parallel to the railroad tracks and the other crosses the railroad tracks running north and south to other small towns about fifteen miles away. From this intersection, if you travel about 3/4 of a mile in any direction, you will leave town so it is pretty small but we have a McDonalds/Shell gas station, John Deere tractor dealership, dairy queen, sonic, subway, private pizza shop, grocery store, two convenience stores, two banks and even a mexican restaurant. On all sides of town are farm fields spreading as far as the eye can see where they grow cotton, corn and sorghum. Within the neighborhoods hides a county library, elementary school, middle school and high school but you rarely see the kids as they are bused in from the surrounding farms except on school sports nights when they gather at the dairy queen. Population 1800Yup, a little hole in the wall but I like it, at night when I sit here writing by the open window, I can hear the coyotes as they skirt the edge of town hunting and looking for scraps left out. | | John Deere LX277 speed governor/reverse switch | | I have owned this tractor for a few years and it has proven to be well worth it's money.
Two questions,1) Is there a way to disconnect the reverse switch that needs to be held to go into reverse, and 2)Can the speed governor be adjusted to get a bit more speed?
