| new category/ interest | | Hey I am curious.How do you make a new category or interest? I was thinking earlier if we could make more categories and interests we could keep topics where they were suppose to be. Like making money is filled with 100s of different ways to earn some money. Is there a way to make new categories or interests? that way we could have all the topics of one specific item in a narrower interest or category. | |
| | What do you prefer to read or watch in the News category? | | In the case of watching news in television, we don’t have any choice to watch our favorite kind of news most of the time. Because it shows all kind of news at the same time. But in case of newspapers we do have full liberty to select according to our like and dislike. I like the sports section very much, especially when India win in any game. On that day I read the entire report thoroughly. When there are new projects are taken place in our country or city, I would like to read about them also. And some International news also. But I don’t like to read about politics, accidents, murders, rapes etc. These are kind of reports, I would like to avoid. | | A New Category To Join--Open Mike! | | Recently I was asked to consider putting any political posts in the "Politics" Catagory. I declined for several reasons, chief among them being that politics is not a narrow category, but one which interacts with numerous others, such as financial, religious, philosophical, fashion, food, medical..in short, it affects our lives in countless ways, & thus[i]can't be[/i] squashed into one little box, then left to a precious few. Many people are leaving "Politics" for many reasons, but information they need won't get out if they can only find it there.A lot of subjects besides politics are those which may fork off to[i]other[/i] topics, or easily blend in with (at first)[i]seemingly[/i] non-related ones. Music & arts, for example, or dining & wines, or famous eateries. Travel covers a host of topics (including politics). I'm sure you can think of dozens, at least.One can always go to a specific category if it seems helpful, but in "Open Mike," a term taken largely from radio--where it works[i]extremely[/i] well--one doesn't need to feel confined to one kind of topic! It will be an excellent way to reach out to others who might not think to look for, say, collectible... | |

| Do discussions under the wrong interest category get deleted? | | I've been wondering about this for quite some time already. I've noticed that discussions under popular interest categories like "make extra money" get a lot of responses while the ones in less popular interests like "eating" or "cooking" get fewer replies. I was wondering if a totally irrelevant discussion like "my dog died today" was posted under "make extra money," would it get deleted? I've seen a couple of discussions under certain interest categories that don't really fit correctly and I'm wondering if it's okay. | |
| | How can I make an Interest category popular? | | I saw some very interesting categories but no one is making discussions there but me and I also created some discussion Interest of my own but I'm not going to tell it here. I do get responses from those unpopular areas but i felt sad i'm the only one makes discussions there. What do you think is the best way I can do to get people to make discussions there. if I make discussions there, i do get responses but I also want to be on the other side of the coin,I want to response to discussions too of that category. I really wish people would make discussions there. I do post discussions and make responses in more popular areas but I just dont feel much interested with them. | |

| In which category you belongs to - Conservative minded or Modern minded? | | I think people always misunderstand the concept of "Conservative". Because everybody mix it up with puritanism. But "conservative" doesn't mean that. First you need to know what to conservation and how. If someone make wrong choice them it would back fire to them, instead of benefit. We do have many things, attitudes, concepts and characteristics to conservation. It does not means to oppose of modernization. On the other hand so called modernism would not always been as good as it seems to be. So we need to choose very carefully and wisely. We have to adapt the positive sides of both.I would like to consider myself as conservative minded guy. But at the same time I do have the concepts and appreciations of such thing, which could be surprised so called ultra modern people.What about you? Please share your opinion about this.
